Wireless charging

I'm not able to get the lights to come on when in place my phone on the area it shows. I place my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge plus on the area, nothing happens. My phone is wireless cc harming compatible. I place it with the back down, flush in front of the shift lever. Lights never come on. Am I doing something wrong?
