Cooling fan?

I have a 2008 328xi and have noticed over the past couple of days the cooling fan coming on a lot and rather loud. I've only been driving short distances and it's fall where I am so temps are around 40-50. No warning lights have come on. Anything to be concerned over? Normal? Anyone had this happen?

If the coolant level isn't low, then I would suggest scanning the car for trouble codes to see if some sensor malfunction shows up.

You may still have air in the cooling system, which might account for no heat. I don't see how adding coolant can make the car run rougher or noisier, so there must be a number of issues going on here at the same time.

Coolant has to be filled very gradually with engine running, to allow the system to "burp".

You'd best check your coolant level first off.

Problem has worsened. Coolant has been filled(was low) fan turns on as soon as car is started, now theres no heat coming through. Runs loud and rough.....
