I have a 1990 Honda Accord EX 4 door 4 cylinder I have changed and cleaned the spark plugs and spark plug wires, put in a cold air intake, cut off a few inches of the exhaust because it had seemed like the catalytic converter was stopped up and not allowing enough air through. I also put on a stainless steel exhaust tip and had some slight improvements. However when I accelerate it bogs down and sputters as I'm accelerating but after I pump the gas a couple of times it smooths out. Im also having a black gritty oil buildup inside the valve cover. The only warning indicator light that comes on is one that indicates a possible malfunction in the transmission. The oil hasn't been changed in several years and neither has the oil filter out fuel filter. It pretty much just sat in the driver if the pervious owner for all those years until I bought it a few months back. It also does not have ANY power of steering. No power steering fluid or belt. What are causing these problems and what can I do?
