BUT as usual, (if they ever see the light of day) i don't expect the production versions to bear any resemblance to these drawings. lately, i've been getting pretty frustrated by the vehicles that get watered down on the journey from the drawing board to the showroom floor. guess we'll have to wait and see. sigh.

The SUV appears to be an intended Hummer competitor.

The Dodge Slingshot has a three-cylinder engine that produces 95 horsepower (wow...), and gets 45 miles per gallon. It's hard to know what this concept could lead to, maybe a method for DC to introduce the Smart cars in the US. It looks the part.

Chrysler intends to answer the H3 with a Wrangler-inspired SUV within a few years. And DC is working out a business case for an entry-level Jeep to be priced below $20,000.

    remember the Jeep Dakar?

that was a COOL version of a 4 dr rally Jeep.

then we ended up with the feminine looking Liberty.

needs to do something fast about its lineup. i really wish they would be more responsive to the customer's wants and needs. they always seem to take too long to overhaul their models, and then when they introduce something new, it's a niche vehicle that nobody can afford or really use like the viper, prowler, and now crossfire. where i live, i have yet to see a single crossfire driven on the street. i think the management at dc is doing a very poor job with what should be the bread and butter of their lineup--the intrepids, the sebrings, and the sx2.0s.

just from an aesthetic viewpoint, please
give the intrepid shorter overhangs and smart new styling inside and out, improve the quality and materials in the sebring interior, add a wagon and hatchback version of the sx2.0 like ford does with the focus, and stop spending all your resources on showcase models that are good for your company's ego but do nothing for your sales. considering the position you are in financially, you should be more concerned about your bottom line.

i must add, however, that i am very pleased with the styling and design of the new chrysler 300c and dodge magnum. they offset the introduction of the new durango, quite possibly the ugliest truck based vehicle i have ever seen. more the pity considering the outgoing rendition was quite handsome and burly-looking.

So, are there any more thoughts on these now that Edmunds has coverage?
