Dolly Tow Jeep Trailhawk

Just purchased a Trailhawk and cannot for the life of me figure out why the car cannot be towed on a dolly with only the front wheels off the ground if you put the transfer case in neutral. If it can be towed with 4 wheels down, then why not just 2. I know the owners manual says only 4 wheels down after the neutral transfer case procedure, but it just doesn't make sense why you can't then raise two wheels off the ground. Anyone have a good explanation other than "it says you can't in the owners manual"?

Well (not meaning to be at all sarcastic here)---because it's in the owner's manual and that means you'd better do it that way to protect your warranty. As for the technical explanation, I'm not sure why the transfer case can suffer damage, but that's what Jeep says.

Aside from some maneuvering convenience, why do you prefer a dolly? It's a lot of work getting it on and off and easier to damage the car and your rig.
