I just bought a 2001 Montero Sport Limited. I bought it knowing that it wouldn't start. The Seller said that he over heated it on the GBT and had it towed. He said it would only click not start since then. It Has NO water in cylinders or oil pan. I just got it home and wanted to ask if anyone knows if there was a overheat protection shutdown. or a reset process that I may want to do before getting further. Thanks

There is no safety system to shut the engine down in an overheat condition.5 -

Like Doc says, try to turn it with a socket and breaker bar. If it won't budge, you'll have to pull off the cylinder head, investigate the condition of the cylinder bores, and take it from there.5
