Further proof that a truck really can do it all. Any more hiccups with the truck, or have they all been ironed out? How about DEF fills? Seems like there were some teething issues early on but we haven't heard of anything recently.

Nice performance...but there is a world of difference between the ride of an older 3/4-ton leaf-spring Ram and this 1/2-ton coil-spring model. Not really a comparison worth mentioning.

No hiccups in my driving experience and we're reporting the DEF fills as they go (and in the monthly fuel-economy updates) so if you don't see us writing about it, we haven't filled it up.

@longtimelurker - To her, it clearly was a comparison worth mentioning. One experience in such a large truck had soured her on trucks in general. This one proved that the full-size pickup market wasn't all dualies.

Fair enough - to her it was worth mentioning. I just think most of the What's Hot readership gets more granular than "trucks in general" and to us it's kinda apples-to-oranges.

It would be great if this RAM Diesel was still around after the Colorado Diesel entered the long term testing. The resulting side by side comparison of their relative strengths and weaknesses would be quite interesting. I have been lusting over that information.
