98 Sienna speedometer quits

After driving with the lights on for about 20 minutes the speedometer stops working. Tach keeps working. If I turn off the lights, it will start working again in about 15 minutes. This is definitely connected to the headlights being on. Recently had struts replaced. That's all that I can attribute it to. Any ideas?

Its a short somewhere um and check the sensor it self

if not buy a gps speedo and say f it those work everywhere. maybe 180 for cheepie one
