Request for Second Opinion on Maintenance Items and Question Regarding Ford Service Plan
Hello,
I own a 2011 Lincoln MKZ (bought new, all regular service, 55,000 miles, automatic, not hybrid, FWD) and recently had it at the dealership for an oil change, etc. I have one of the premium maintenance plans up through 2018/126,000 miles, whichever comes first, although what the plan actually covers I can't figure out for the life of me. Seems like it covers basically nothing. Anyway... The "service manager" hits me up for $1500 worth of important maintenance items out of the blue, none of which are covered by the maintenance plan, he says. I was wondering if you might provide a virtual second opinion for me b/c this seems fishy. My questions are: (1) Are these items needed at this point; and if not now, when? (2) If so, should they be covered by the premium maintenance plan? (3) If not, are these reasonable prices for the labor, etc.? Please let me know if you need more information, and I'll try to provide it. I've copied and pasted the vitals below.
Thank you in advance, Bryan.
