    RDX is a class below in terms of size. Better comparison to Murano would be MDX. RDX compares more to Nissan Rogue. In terms of size again, not cost. Both MDX and RDX feel same - "not inspiring". Edmund stated correctly that if you want something inspiring - you have to step up the game to Porsche Macan or Cayenne for example. However, in that case you are looking at numerous disadvantages like: much more $$$ and less comfort and much worse fuel economy, less cabin and cargo space, harsher ride and so on. Basically only complete petrolheads who don't care about comfort and utility can go that route. NAd if you really only care about inspiring driving and carving corners - just buy damn sport sedan/coupe like BMW 3 series and be done with it. Me? Thank you, but I prefer comfort, higher seating position of SUV, bigger size cabin and cargo space, softer ride, better MPG, etc. etc.

    Look, I drive a Miata and enjoy my open aired, sometimes pulling some G drive. But when it comes to our SUV? I could care less about handling unless it's in a real world, braking or rain/snow condition situation. I'm not going to take my family out on a job ride whipping them around. Braking matters. Tires matter. Reliability and Ride sure as heck matters. Handling does not. Just pick up a used Miata or Mustang or Vette.
