  • Dealer is looking for a Challenger T/A in the region that is in transit.  Apparently they say there are none in inventory within 300 miles.  They were no where even close on the 2016 Hellcat.  Wanted over sticker......

This looks like a third party lease - I show standard MF of .00270 and 52% from Chrysler Capital for 48/12.

With your numbers and prices, I get $440/mo before tax.

What payment is the dealer quoting you?

Is there anything wrong with third party lease?

3rd party lease companies don't expect repeat business, so you may get hit with higher than normal end of lease charges.

I would confirm the adjusted cap cost the dealer is using to get that payment.

What state and tax rate is this?

This is what Im coming up with,

Sales tax will be collected on the purchase price of the vehicle less trade-in if any (net price).
Net price = (Purchase Price) minus trade-in.

Net Price Sales Tax Rates Marginal Rate Sales Tax Calculation
    $0 to $1600 7% State Tax Rate + 2.25% county 9.25% (net price) * 9.25%
    $1600 - $3200 7% State Tax Rate + 2.75% fixed rate 9.75% $148 + (net price - $1600) * 9.75%
    above $3200 7% State Tax Rate 7.00% $304 + (net price - $3200) * 7.00%

That gives me a payment of $469/mo, before tax.

Assuming the tax rate is 9.25%, then the total payment is $512/mo

Hmm he said $490 with just first payment down. Talking to finance manager tomorrow. It was through US Bank with disposition fee of $400. I know a 48 month lease but if the numbers stay the same a decent deal?

If you're comfortable with the size of the discount from sticker, then everything else looks OK

We don't track selling price - use the 'make / model / year' pull downs at the top of the screen to link to the price tools.

Im trying to do a lease worksheet to better understand the numbers and not sure how we are coming to a payment of this. Can you help? This is a dealership in Ky and I live in Tn and I was going to drive up there and do the deal and drive home. A dealer here said they could get the car for the same price and figured hey its better than driving. They said they couldnt come close to the numbers of $490 (or $512) for 48 months no money down 12k a year. Maybe they cant go through the same third party lease company but before I drive or fly all that way want to make sure the numbers are even possible and not get a surprise.

After redoing the worksheet it seems to come out to that. How are they rolling everything but first payment in? A local dealer wont touch it , is that because they would lose more money or not the same financing company?

Hard to say, really. Could be dealer 2 is counting on some volume bonus money, and they are willing to make a loser deal to qualify.

Hello, looking for MF and Residual for a 16 Hellcat msrp 65985..selling price $59485. I was told I was in Chrysler Tier 2 and they also require a $700 security deposit. Lease term is 36/12000. Zip code is 95758. I'm also eligible for a $1000 rebate because I own a Ford. Thanks for any information.

    .00007 and 63%; add .00021 for tier 2.

    No information on incentives.

With your prices, and the tier 2 MF, I get a payment of $526/mo before tax.

Thanks for the info Michaell. The dealer quoted me $677 with taxes for the payment. I thought that was high. I wonder where they're getting that extra $110 on the payment from? Thanks again!

    Could be a MF markup

Could be hidden fees; ask for the adjusted cap cost.

  • Is it true that Chrysler deducts 2% from residual for Manual Transmissions on the Hellcats?
  • kyfdxkyfdx Everywhere, USAPosts: 123,050

Is it true that Chrysler deducts 2% from residual for Manual Transmissions on the Hellcats?

We don't have anything that shows separate numbers for manual transmission, but that doesn't mean that it isn't true.

Dealers don't have the authority to change residuals.
