Sound system issues - 2004 Envoy

I'm having some issues with my stock sound system. I have some sound produced, but its only high frequencies. Sometimes, I'll get full sound out of the passenger-front door. The back speakers do not work. It does not have a Bose system, and I was wondering if there is an amplifier installed somewhere in the vehicle. Any input would be helpful.

Gee, hard to say without a wiring diagram. I do know that the Bose amplifier is located on the right side of the rear cargo area, so if there's a factory amp for the base radio system it would be there.

If you can't figure anything out, my advice is not to pay someone to track down all these issues, but rather just get yourself an up to date new radio unit. You might even be able to use your old speakers, and some of the car audio shops have some very affordable packages.
