I'm hoping the people who write the code for their vehicle recall page aren't the same ones writing the code for the car's control systems.

Great customer service and peace of mind for $144,000!

I guess Tesla is still working on this customer-communication thing. I wonder if a regular owner would be able to get to the bottom of the issue the way Edmunds had to?

+1 to that! @Edmunds-- when you describe customer service interactions, would you identify whether the vendor is aware you are a sizable web property that will publish the results of the communication, or whether for all they know you're just another ordinary consumer (or in the case of $144k new cars, just another ordinary one-percenter).

Just think for that much money (as much as my house) I'd get something more, for one luxurious and two by a brand that's had multiple decades of experience. I've been out of high school longer than this company has been around and I'm only 29!

"Oh yeah...yeah...your car is on the list. Our bad." SMH I wonder if Edmunds would've ever been communicated to if not for Edmunds due diligence.

Sounds like most car companies. Not something the cult of Elon wants to hear but so be it.

All cars have recalls. Even million dollar Volkswagens. :)

yeah but this car was supposed to be different from all other cars. You know, champion skiers don't fall down, action heroes don't cry, movie stars don't snore and burp--that sort of thing.

Those back seats are like a penalty box for the "bad" kids. No arm rests, no outward visibility and you WILL be baked by the sun overhead.
Don't worry about what other people think. Drive what makes you happy.
