Those prices give me $216/mo. You must be rolling the taxes and fees into the selling price. What is that number?

I show 55% for 6 Touring Auto 36/12. Dealer cannot modify the residual.

36/15 numbers for the 6 GT are 48% and .00001. Extra miles are purchased up front at a rate of .15-.25 per mile, subtracted from the calculated residual. So, an extra 21,000 miles, or $3150-5250.

No discount from sticker besides the incentives, or is that the $1500?

The $2340 is a factory to dealer incentive. Use that knowledge to negotiate your best price, then deduct the incentive.

For the Touring, I get $322/mo, so bang on with the quote

For the Touring with Tech, I get $338/mo, so also square with the quote.

Why put money down on a lease? It's at risk if the car is stolen or totaled. And, it doesn't change the total cash outlay for the lease term.

I actually saw a manual Touring at a dealer last summer. I can't imagine too many of them were built.

Thank you. I am wondering why the lease cash does not show up at all on Edmunds.com under Incentives and Rebates. The site says none is available. I don't doubt your data. I just want to be able to tell the dealer in case they deny the existence of such a high lease cash.

It's a dealer incentive. Edmunds doesn't show those.

So, it's their money. You don't have to prove it to them. Just don't accept any offer that seems not to include it.

I am wondering if Mazda 6 Touring residuals are different (lower) for a 6MT car compared to an automatic version. I am looking to lease a car for 3 years/12K miles per year and I am looking at the the Honda Accord Sport 6MT and Mazda 6 Touring 6MT. The MSRPs are almost dead even (~$25K both), but the Honda residual is 8% higher. That works out to $2,000 extra depreciation for the Mazda. I know lease cash on the Mazda is about a grand higher and the MF is lower (0.00001 vs. 0.00038), but I don't think the lower MF makes up for the roughly $1,000 difference in lease cost. So looking at the low 49% residual, I wonder if it's any higher for the automatic version (not that I would get an automatic version. The reason I am looking at these two cars is the availability of manual gearbox). One ace in the hole in favor of Mazda 6 is that we own a 2004 Mazda MPV, so I would likely qualify for the $500 owner loyalty cash. I have yet to drive either car since I still have 40 days to go on my current VW lease.

Yes, Touring MT has a residual 1% lower than Touring AT for 36 months.

I suggest you get yourself a lease calculator and run the numbers yourself. Build your own using these instructions:

    http://www.edmunds.com/car-leasing/calculate-your-own-lease-payment.html

And, I'm all for getting the car that I actually enjoy driving, not the one with the best deal.
