Very cool. Can you provide us with a description of the available stations out near you? Is it an inconvenience to get to a station? Do the stations offer typical convenience store faire?

Thank you for finally providing this. Could you take a picture of the screen itself? Certainly, for a vehicle like this, the more details you provide, the better. For instance, I (and likely many others) would like to know how much that would've costed. Was there a price listed or is it all charged behind the scenes? If there was a price, how to go about charging it to Toyota? Do you have to pay first and get reimbursed later? More details please...

Finally indeed! I don't think the price is known at this point. As with Tesla Superchargers, as the sales pick-up, then there could be issues of lines... but given shorter refuel times this could be avoided. Another related question, how many cars such station can service per day ? (e.g. what is storage capacity and how it is being replenished).

What happens if you pull in with 3/4 tank full. If you set it for H70, I imagine the pump will top-up your tank to full. If you set it for H35, will the fuel pump do nothing and say you are already more than 1/2 full? Or will it suck out your tank until you are 1/2 full?

@wheelmccoy : I'd bet the fuel line has a check valve that won't allow a back-feed. Not only because you wouldn't want to drain the customer's tank down, but also because you could be allowing contaminants to flow back into the holding tanks.

My question is how does it charge you? I'm guessing it's got some way to calculate the difference in PSI of the customer's tank to figure out how much you actually received. Do they bill you buy the Price per PSI? And I would think that you'd get a better value at a higher PSI than a lower PSI, since there would be more molecules crammed into the same space.

The hood of the Mirai still looks like it's not been attached to the car. That black line that separates the hood and body line is horrible. At best, I think "Someone forgot to shut the hood down."

Most cars look that way after they've been involved in a front end collision. With the Mirai, it comes that way from the factory. I call the style "pre-squished".
