Will you fit in the back seats of a 2016 Toyota Tacoma? It'll be a tight fit no matter how big you or your kids are in this truck.

And this is the main reason I recently went with a new Colorado over the Tacoma. I am 6'4" tall. The Tacoma with a sunroof has my head hitting the headliner unless I recline the seat back to an uncomfortable (and unsafe) driving position. Also, I need the seat all the way back and there is zero legroom for my 10 or 8 year old with the seat adjusted for me. We all fit fine and are comfortable in the Colorado.

That seating angle in the back also looks relatively uncomfortable... a bit too upright perhaps?

Had a similar experience at an auto show earlier this year. Sat in the Tacoma and Colorado almost back to back with my kids, and they both said the back seat of the Taco felt too small while they didn't complain about the Colorado. I'm not tall either, and even with the driver's seat in the Tacoma where I would drive, my 10 year old said it felt cramped - granted she's used to a minivan so her perception may be skewed. However, I felt the same when I "sat behind myself". When it came to interior space, or at least the perception of it, I really preferred the Colorado. Neither are cavernous of course, but I'd definitely feel better about putting average sized adults in the back seat of the Colorado if the drive was going to be long.
