    Sounds like you've become acclimated to all the problems simply due to to time; they're still there. This is something that would happened with about every vehicle the more you drive it. Not much different than entering a room, smelling something bad, then not being able to smell it. The next person who walks in asks"what is that smell," you respond, what smell."

    just goes to show there are very few "bad" vehicles anymore. it's all nitpicks and with time you can learn to live with them and you may even find some endearing and start to describe them as the vehicle's "character".

    I am glad to hear that the driving issues are "characteristics" that are either appreciated with use or at least disappear into normal expected driving. My fear was they were issues that needed to be tolerated, and there are just too many alternatives to put up with them unless some of Tacoma's very special characteristics had to overwhelm the buying decision. Glad to see the Tacoma back on my list.
