Transmssion broke

i have a 2006 dakota with 4.7 i recently replaced transmission and shift cable but now it shifts from park, reverse, neutral, drive, 2 but will not shift into 1 with shifter if i unhook cable from transmission i can shift trans in all gears and shifter will shift to all gears.
