Escape 2005 v6 4x4 Faster Odometer
Hello,
I am a Ford Escape owner from Nigeria.
I got my used Escape with 99k miles and had the oil changed in oct 2015. By the next oil change at the end of March 2016, the difference was about 4000 miles. My mechanic decided to clean the engine with a rag and water/gas. After then I noticed my odometer had recorded an additional 5k miles within a month.
Last week as I started the engine and waiting for it to warm up, I noticed the odometer was counting while the car was stationary....gear in Park. Right now the mileage is 127k, that is about 23k miles from April to date.
I suspect the mechanic broke something during the oil change or engine wash. Please, I would appreciate i if anyone has ideas to what i can check.
