The manual folding convertible top on our long-term 2016 Mazda Miata is easy to operate, and if you get stuck in the rain, it's pretty quick to fold up as well.

My 2015 Mustang Convertible takes 7 seconds and it seats 4. It's completely silent and they did a great job on the top. I've put 20 000 miles on it in one summer alone and looking to put on many more this year. I like the Miata but it's small. I couldn't have taken it across country like my mustang and it doesn't fit passengers and the trunk is just tiny compared to mine. It is a great car though for the right person. But for me if I want sporty car it will have a hard top and be track focused.

Having the manual top was really the difference between me using it as a convertible versus not on my previous 93 Del Sol. On the Del Sol, it was an EVENT to take the top off. You literally had to turn off the car, unhook both levers, use your key to open the trunk, grab the ackwardly large top, put it in the trunk, lock it into place, close the trunk and start back your car up. Not something you were doing at a traffic light.

A Mustang Convertible with four people? Ouch...

The 'Stang convertible is the rental of choice with tourists in LA. My last drive to San Fran up the coast - I think every other car was a Mustang convertible. Is it still as flexy as the previous generations?

Im imagining you sitting in the Miata, rapidly opening and closing the top over and over as your neighbors stare from their windows.
