the engine management light stays on went back to honda garage they put it on computer and said it was a baulamistic air pressure control that was wrong but could not tell me what it controled and crv does not seem to have anything wrong
they can,t tell me what it controls or effect it has on car
"It" as in something by the name you used here (baulamistic) does not exist. Before anyone can assist you we have to fix the communication between the involved parties. There is more than one way to do that the easiest of which starts by you describing any symptoms that are occurring and have someone pull any trouble codes that are setting and post them.
honda have made a mistake on printing it it should have been p1108 barometric pressure circuit high in put so cananyone tell me what it does as it does not seem to affect anything in car
The barometric pressure sensor (Baro) is an important input for the PCM to be able to calculate the density of the air that is getting into the engine.
Looking up service information the Baro sensor is inside the PCM and the diagnostics are straight forward. Attempt to clear codes and see if the code resets. Check for current software levels and flash update if required. if that doesn't fix it, substitute known good PCM. If that fixes it, replace the PCM. I suspect the dealer has told you that the PCM needs to be replaced.

I'm thinking it's more along the lines of some sort of barometric air pressure control gizmo, maybe related to a MAP sensor. (AutoZone)
