2007 Silverado Horn working now and then.

My 2007 Classic 1500 Silverado has a problem with the horn. I works every now and then. There doesn't seem to be anything that makes it work or not work. Any help is appreciated.

Hello! From what I read in research this is a common problem with these vehicles. Seeing as Chevy made both the Classic and New Style that year, you are in luck, the Classic still has a horn relay in the under hood fuse block. In the New Style it is part of the printed circuit board. I would clean all connections, and barrow a horn from another vehicle to test, if it works then you know it is the horn. If not, test the relay to see if it is working. I believe your vehicle has two horns, and they are wired in series, which of course means if the first one does not have power, the second one won't work either. Oh, and be sure they are grounded well. Good luck!6 -

Maybe taking stuff apart and putting it back together again fixed it - that's worked for me with a lot with various non-car items (the trick is remembering how to put stuff back together again). Sounds like you may have a marginal electrical connection somewhere.
