2008 Sierra low voltage to sensors
Recent engine trouble lights revealed these problems: P0449 and P0455, which is the emissions charcoal canister vacuum solenoid, and a voltage low to the oil pressure sensor. I have a new emissions solenoid, which tests good on the bench (will cycle with 12 volts power applied) but will not operate when on the vehicle. The voltage at the vehicle's solenoid connection is 11.25 volts. The truck battery is new, and tests at 12.47v with truck shut down and 14.65v with engine running.
I have not tested the voltage at the oil pressure sensor due to location and accessibility of connection. Is there any known weak areas in the electrical system that would drop voltage to sensors?
