I do not understand why outward visibility is an afterthought. If you can't see out of a car it is unsafe. In a review, a car with poor outward visibility should be given an unacceptable rating regardless of its other traits.

Good visibility is a Honda tradition, and I'm glad to see it's evident in the new Civic. The more I'm reading about this Civic through your long-term test, the more impatient I'm getting for the Si! I might miss the glorious high-revving NA goodness of my 2010 TSX, but that turbo torque will rule the highway.

The bigger issue these days is something even missed in this article: You cannot see out the BACK window on almost all new cars. Smaller windows and larger rear pillars are making blind spots larger and driving/lane changes/backing up more dangerous.
