    I will say its amazing how they can squeeze that now adays. My 2000 Miata gets 26 MPG. My 16 Civic gets 35 MPG MINIMUM even through heavy city driving and gets 46 MPG while cruising on the highway. The Civic will out accelerate (by a long shot) the Miata too.

    Your Civic will also be much less fun to drive but hey it seems to give implausible highway numbers.
