BATTERY??

Nissan replaced my fuel pump last week. The day I picked it up to drive home I noticed a small jerk (skip). During the week the car has started right up every time I went out until today when I left work. When I turned the key it cranked for about a second then fade out. The dash lights work about my wipers are a bit sluggish. The car started right up with a jump and I drove it home (about 3 min drive) about an hour later I tried to start it and it did not start. The battery terminals are not corroded but I've never changed it since buying the car (3years). I'm just wondering if I have to replace the battery or if it's the alternator?
