I Have an '08 Caddy DTS with 87,000 on it's 4.6 L ... the car has always been a great runner,
i do all maintenance at dealer, and run the recommended Mobile One 5 - 30 synthetic as the
oil fill cap say's. now in the last few weeks i one day got a rapid beeping with "shut off engine
oil pressure low" . (i hate "idiot lights, do the folks at GM think because you picked a caddy your
not interested in oil pressure ? ) . i shut it off that first time and immediately checked oil, new and full...
the following week it did it 2-3x and i would just nail the accelerator a bit and it would stop. now this
week (week 3) it happens every 2 minutes.. it's parked till it goes to MY Mechanic to get plugged in an
find out if it IS or NOT making oil pressure.... anyone been thru this ?? ... did it end up being an oil pump
or the oil pressure sending switch ?? ... thanks all for any info, wish you the best ...

Check the sending switch, you'll know if thats bad. There will be oil all around it. Check your relays also some control them
