    @Mark Takahashi & all other Edmunds personnel : WHAT DID Y'ALL DO? So I was checking the website. And I notice that the Yugo GL is NO LONGER WITH EDMUNDS! Y'all didn't even give the little car a final wrap-up? No resale information? No notice that y'all were going to list it? That little car was like the underdog of not only automotive design, but pretty much the underdog of even a toaster oven, because if it worked, everyone was amazed. Y'all wrote a whole article about keeping the Corvette and just shuffled the Yugo off.

    Geeez, give a little time to process and mourn, already! Seriously though, the wrap up is probably underway as I speak/type. Keep an eye out for it, I'm sure it'll be awkwardly heartfelt.

    @daryleason

    I can confirm what @mtakahashi said -- the final chapter is currently being written, by me! Justice will be done. Look for it in the next week or two. Somewhere the Yugo appreciates your sentiments. :)

    Seems like they should've came up with a better design or more robust internals for the screen for a display to be put in a convertible. Letting the top down and the sun in for summer drives is kinda the point of having a convertible.

    This warning appeared when the car was baking in the sun on a black asphalt parking lot. Stowing the top let all the heat out of the cabin and got it back to normal operating temperatures.

    Liquid crystals only work over a specific temperature range and it's hard to change that without messing up other performance. Remember that they also have to worry about cold for us up north.

    "Sorry. You can do better."
    Or maybe not. This used to be a great weekend regular feature. My vote goes to Snipenet.

    Not the first time we are left hanging. There was never a wrap up for the GTI.

    Wrap ups seem to be hard to find around here for some reason. 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI Long-Term Road Test - Wrap-Up

    The 2010 got sold to CarMax. 2010 Volkswagen GTI: Auf Wiedersehen

    The one that did get away was an old Miata - I think it crept out into the woods and died.

    @stever : Yeah, I noticed that they never did anything about the "track day" Miata wrap-up. I know they'd started doing one, it got wrecked, they bought another, and then...pffft. Nothing. Which was sad, because I was curious how it was going to turn out. I was waiting to see if they were going to drop a 302 Windsor in it, ah la "Monster Miata" and see how it performed.

    As for the display screen on the current Miata, my question has to do with long-term functionality. I had a phone that had that display warning after I left it on the dash of a pickup a couple of years ago. After a week of fiddling with it, I went and bought a new phone. It never worked right after that heat warning.

    Making it more heat-resistant would have diluted the authenticity of the driving experience...and more importantly, RAISED THE CENTER OF GRAVITY. Just like a turbocharger.

    Just FYI from a Mazda engineer:

    "The warning is there because touchscreen performance and LCD colors/refresh rate can be diminished in extreme heat. It's more of a 'FYI' than a critical warning."
