Rover 200, some high spec model
  • boomchekboomchek Member Posts: 5,516
The Integra looks to be 1993 and it's wearing 94 GSR wheels, the earlier ones had a different bumper.

The Rover is a Rover 25.

I see Borgwards on either side, so I'll guess Borgward...whatever their top of the line car was called

Man I see a lot of fintail-esque cues
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
    Yep it's a 1960 Borgward P100 Limousine.

The Gers don't use the word Limousine the way we do to indicate a chauffeur driven car. It seems to apply to any largish comfortable sedan and what's considered large there could be compact in the USA.

Looks like a 66 Dodge Dart GT. the earlier ones had rounder lines and sides to them, and the 67s had a total redesign.

who owns a Regal GN .. retrofitted for hand controls, as he is paralyzed from the waist down due to a rodeo accident when he was a kid.

He bought it right out of college (1986 or so) and, to my knowledge, he still has it.

Please limit the size of the images you put into your posts. Anything wider than about 500 pixels forces the message area out under the right side video bar and makes it hard to read the postings.

If you have a pic that has to be seen full size to be appreciated, just include a link to the pic and then we can view it in a new window in all its glory and avoid the margin issues!

In Uk this was (briefly)marketed as the Borgward Big 6, and I have a roadtest from "The Motor" magazine, 1961, of this model, but I never saw one when they were still fairly new - unlike the Isabella, which was not uncommon, and I think the Big6 was only available LHD so it wouldn't have been a big seller here, anyway. Only one I've seen was at a car show about four years ago and it looked like it had been recently imported.
  • gsemikegsemike Member Posts: 2,425
I lusted for that car as well but don't the vented fenders indicate that it is actually a GNX rather than a Grand National? The GNX was the higher output version that I beleive was only offer in 87 (maybe 86)? I believe that those are factory wheels that were exclusive to the GNX as well.

That, and the GNX badge on the grill.

Am I correct in thinking that you could get a turbo 3.8 in the Camaro and Firebird in the late 1980s? Too bad GM didn't develop that one a little farther... twin turbos, 400hp, fun stuff like that.
  • bumpybumpy Member Posts: 4,425

Yup, it is a 1987 Buick Regal GNX. I still think those are really cool looking. It would be great if Buick would have a modern GNX, like a RWD musclecar/coupe.

My GNX in Forza Motorsport is fast, with over 600hp!
  • bumpybumpy Member Posts: 4,425
Scoupe turbo it is. The engine is the Hyundai Alpha I, only used in the '94-95 turbos. Earlier turbos and all regular Scoupes used the Mitsubishi 4G61, which Hyundai mirror-imaged to produce the Alpha.

    Jaguar 420, mid 60s
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
No I think that is the horrifying Jaguar 420. I'd write a caption but you wouldn't like it
  • subearusubearu Member Posts: 3,613
In 1989 Pontiac delivered the Firebird TTA (otherwise known as the Turbo Trans Am). It was the 20th anniversary package, which included the GN's engine, the GNX intercooler, and stock turbo from the GN.

I believe it was a Indy pace car too.

I worked at Great Lakes Dragaway in '91 and saw plenty of GN's and TTA's head down the strip. Loved to hear that turbo spool!

    It's not a 420, but it's the model that the 420 replaced.

This is a Maserati Bora (mid 70's?). they were built between 71 and 80. I love the lines still to this day.

Reminds me of the C111 Mercedes for some reason, same era.

Navigator I have no idea what the van is. The micro vans from Asia look all alike to me.

I'll take a stab at it and say it's a Daihatsu of some sorts. :confuse:

The red car at the top is the 2006 Buick Lucerne (American) and the blue car at the bottom is the 2006 Volkswagen Passat (German).

Some say the Lucerne's taillights are very similar to those of the TSX.

#3801 is a Suzuki Carry, with a 1.3L engine. Very slow and small.
  • gsemikegsemike Member Posts: 2,425
The one wioth the portholes on the fender has to be the Buick!!
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
VW has lost their way, the Jetta looks like a Corolla and now the Passat is totally anonymous, too. Both lost all their character.

    -juice
  • au94au94 Member Posts: 171
have to agree about the Jetta, if I see one on the read, I have to do a double take to confirm if it VW or 'yota.

I like the look of the Passat, but man are they pricy. The new Car and Driver has a test of the V-6 model and the sticker is 38!!!
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,604
That Passat they tested has cool looking seats anyway

Lucerne is gopod looking for a Buick...IMO the portholes are a bit much, but are probably relevant to those who will actually buy the car.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
I saw that too, $38k is just nuts, what are they thinking? The old W8 4Motion model cost about that much and never sold well at all, they had to axe it. Now a V6 FWD model costs that much? :confuse:
