Honda pilot exl with sensing
Hello. I'm trying to buy a Honda Pilot EXL with Sensing in the Phoenix AZ metro area. I'm curious about the typical OTD price on these now. Two Honda dealers gave me very different trade in values for my car. One dealer gave me a horrible trade value but said the price on the exl would be about 36200 plus ttl. He said the other dealer gave me a better trade value because they charge more fees. Thanks in advance for the help.

Try taking your trade to CarMax and use their quote for your bottom line. If you get a good price on the new car somewhere, that gives you the option of not trading in (just pay attention to any tax breaks AZ may give on trade-ins on a new car).
Assuming you are shopping the FWD version, invoice is $35,373. That includes the $900 destination and a high ad fee of $600 (why should a consumer pay any ad fee?).
The TMV average price paid for your area is $36,924, plus tax and registration.
So the $36,200 quote is a bit below average (maybe that dealer is eating the ad fee).
Any other recent Phoenix/Scottsdale/Peoria shoppers lurking?
*The 17 Pilot isn't out so dealers may not be too interested in clearing out 2016 inventory yet. And there's not a lot of Pilot inventory in Phoenix, less that 75 by a quick count. And Brian sees a lot of deals in NY/NJ and the DC area, and buyers in those areas enjoy aggressive dealers.
