    This was an existing problem for other makers as well. My 2005 MB C230 has gone through two handles on each side because they're placed way too close to the hinges than the rear or center of the door. Physics, guys, physics.

    My Acura has a similar handle design as the picture but it also has a cutout in the armrest that you could also use to close the door.
