Can you tell me if this is a good deal on a 2016 x6m with 10000 miles
I am considering either leasing a new 2017 BMW x6m or a purchase/lease from either a new or used 2016x6m. I have also considered CPO 2015's as they are dropping prices considerably and are identical to the 2016 model. There is an offer for 97,500 on a 2016 that was never titled but has 10000 miles? The invoice on this care would be around 107,000 from available options. (Im not sure if it is available for lease). What discount would I expect on residual new 2016 models? The most significant change in the 2017s is desirable to me- an upgraded idrive control system, otherwise similar. I have never leased a car before so I have started studying up on the terms but not very comfortable with the process.
Thanks in advance for your help

A 2015 should offer considerable savings if you can live with the older iDrive. You might play with the 2015 for an hour or so and see if you're ok with it.
Luxury cars like this often take a pretty big depreciation hit, so leasing might not be a bad idea.
Once you have all the numbers for a lease offer from the dealer, bring all those numbers back to us, then open up a topic in Forums (like you did with this topic) and title it something like "Is This a Good Lease Deal on a XXXXX?. Then, in the body of your post, list all the appropriate numbers to help us judge for you---MSRP, negotiated selling price, money factor (interest rate), mileage restrictions AND residual.

Would you expect a new 2016 to be priced a specific percentage below MSRP? Also with the new 2017 model I see the TMV coming in close to MSRP on this car but have seen where others posted deals at as much as 7% under MSRP (not invoice) ??? Regardless of lease or purchase, what can I expect in order to negotiate a fair deal. I do know that many people that are interested in this particular car and are willing to pay the cost seem to prefer building/ordering their own so while they don't produce a large number of vehicles I don't see the used models "flying off the lot". I had hoped this would have worked in my favor but Im not sure they are discounted enough to outweigh the depreciation of an older model. I am also running into dealerships wanting to sell the new 2016 models close to sticker price. At this time the manufacturer only gives an additional $1000 on the new 16's ($2000 rebate vs $1000 on the 17's). Im not sure if there is a specific percent an older model new car should be discounted this late in the year with 2017's on the lot. If they only drop a new 2016 6-7% and it will lose 15%+ per year, then its a wash ( or worse deal) than ordering a 2017. ( Im not sure if thats what you meant or if you mean a "used" 2016 vs a new car, regardless of the year). Sorry if that sounds confusing. Most of these cars are equipped the same. MSRP ends up at $116 to $119, the best price on a new 2016 via phone/internet was $108-109 and the used 2016 with 9500 miles was $97,000. (I haven't negotiated hard with the new cars but Im not getting as much flexibility as I expected on the residual 16's). Plus none are local and outside of ordering, they are at various dealers. Hoping there is a standard that most dealers will adjust new car price percentages.
Thanks again,
For a leftover 2016, I should think you could do better than that.
