This is how my quote looks like(w/out running boards and roof rails)

    MSRP $40,010
    Discount $3,110
    Adjusted sale price $36,900
    Tax $2,301.59
    Tag/Title $118.50
    Pre-delivery fee $599.95
    Total $39,920.04

So good selling price, but the doc pre-delivery fee is about $550 too high. But low for Florida, lol.

The automakers pay the dealers to prep their cars; not sure why consumers would have to pay for that again. Not sure what they are pre-delivering (the snarky response is that they are pre-delivering extra profit to the bank :) ).

They told me that they're losing $600 on this deal. I gave them a look of "whatever"

    So...good to go?

lol, don't worry about the dealer. They won't do a money losing deal (you may get a great price but somewhere some bonus or incentive money is making up for it).

The fees bug me but I think the deal on the rails and running boards offset that enough.

    So enjoy. :)

Question about the RDX packages - does the Advance Package come with everything the other 3 packages have? I know it at least comes with fog lights while the other packages do not have fog lights. Just trying to figure out which package is favorable for me, I want navi and fog lights

Honda and Acura don't really offer factory options and it's hard for us non-owners to really know what the deal is. I usually read the full review here and the editors are good about saying what the base specs are and what extras you get with the various trims. You're looking for the Body Styles section.

Otherwise call a dealer or try to find a brochure. My wife and I are shopping another make and it gets confusing figuring out what trim has what features. Usually the next highest trim includes everything in the lower trim but not always. Lots of salespeople have trouble figuring the packages out too it seems.

And with Honda/Acura you have dealer installed options instead of factory options so....

It makes my brain spin after a while. :D

Thank you Stever - yes head spinning for real! I have looked at the brochures so many times but I can't remember - they don't have physical brochures anymore only PDF and I don't want to print those.I wish they would have physical colorful brochures so I can actually take my time looking or comparing them. A lot of the salespeople are not that tune in with the specs neither. They have to go look at the brochures as well. *sigh*

I got an actual printed Kia brochure the other day.

They don't help much either, LOL.

Maybe one of these years we'll be able to order what we want without having to do a package and without having to wait ten weeks for our car to be built.
