A1 Service Update - 2016 Honda Pilot Long-Term Road Test
We took our 2016 Honda Pilot in for an A1 service and got a little less customer service than we'd hoped for.

IMO, if the retail car industry would abolish their tedious and hugely inefficient practice of dragging customers through the sales wringer (with the schmoes who wait for you to drive in the lot, like vultures, and the needless back-and-forth, etc.) and instead just enable customers to buy a car like one does a hoodie at the Under Armour store in the mall, then they could instead dedicate way more resources to provide top notch service. Sure, I'm a dreamer. But (hopefully) not the only one. There's no good reason an oil change and tire rotation should take 3 hours. Ditto a car purchase. 45 minutes for each, now that's more like it.
Changing our 13 Pilot's oil is super easy since it sits up higher. You don't even need to jack up the vehicle (if you are not rotating the tires). I'll continue to do that myself (although rotating the tires is a pain).
When I do the job, I, like other DIY types KNOW it's done right. But, I gotta learn to let go and trust the dealer tech to be on target.
