Out of Warranty Lease Repairs

Hello,

I leased a 2014 Durango that is now out of warranty - 50k miles, yet still under the lease term (3 months to go).

The vehicle has been having electrical problems with the engine shutting down (and unable to restart) 3 times now. Each time I have taken it in for repair, they make the repair and say everything is perfect. And then it happens again. In the last month I have put over $2000 in repairs to this vehicle and now it looks like the Durango is doing it again.

With only 3 months to go on this lease, I don't want to have to put in more money for repairs. What should I say to the dealer service department? (This dealer also sold me the car)

Thanks

Out of warranty repairs are your responsibility.

Won't hurt to ask for some help, but don't hold out much hope for you.

This rarely happens on a lease car but when it does, it's no different than an out of warranty car that was purchased.

You might check this list of DURANGO RECALLS to see if anything appears that you could use as leverage for your situation.
