Dealer cannot duplicate the issue...so does not know how to fix it.
Sometimes if I simply wait for roadside assistance to show up and by then it will start up no problem/???

Unless you can duplicate the problem, the diagnosis becomes very difficult. If you need a guess, I'd suspect a security problem with your key not being recognized.

If you're desperate, you can have a new key cut. But it's just a guess and could be money wasted.

Was the dealer able to extract any trouble codes at all? How hard did they try with this?

How often does the failure occur? What can you recall about the operating conditions (weather) when the problem has occurred? Was the truck parked for a certain length of time? Was it driven, shut off and then attempted to be started when the symptom occurs? If so how long was it driven and then parked prior to the restart attempt? How long does the truck need to sit before it fires up when the problem occurs? When it doesn't start, does the engine crank and the truck simply not start or does the starter not crank the engine?

Were these questions asked by the dealer in order to give the tech a chance to recreate the condition? As mentioned without getting to do testing while the problem is occurring the exact cause cannot be proven, however in order to efficiently test and prove what is going on when it does happen, the tech has to pre-plan the test routine and the answers to the above questions would help him/her do that. Was every module on the truck checked for codes? If so what was found and where?
