Apologies, but I'm new at this leasing thing. I'm looking at a 2017 Pilot in Winston Salem, NC, both a Touring and a Ex-L, both 2WD, both with sensing. 36 month lease, 12K miles per year. Am I right that the RV is the amount expected to be paid at the end of the lease and, whatever that % is, you can figure the dollar amount of the RV by multiplying the % times the MSRP? Or is times the sales price? Also, what is the significance/relevance of MF and how do you use it? Finally, what's the "cap cost" and how do you determine that. Many thanks in advance for responding to a novice.

Residual is the % of the MSRP (bottom line number of window sticker, including destination)

MF is the number used to determine the "rent charge", or interest, paid during a lease.

There is "gross" cap cost and "net" or "adjusted" cap cost - the latter number is important as that represents the negotiated selling price plus and taxes and fees you do not pay up front.
