Hello everyone I recently purchased a 2005 Cadillac CTS with a bad motor got a great deal on the car my question is what year Of engines is compatible with a 2005 3.6 L

If I were you I would use the exact same year motor, along with whatever computer and harness you need. When you jump from year to year, it's possible you'll run into various electronic and mechanical snags, as manufacturers often make changes year to year. So unless you are quite expert and have a well-equipped shop to fuss with all this, I'd go for a direct plug-and-play solution.
