2001 i30 Lights/ electrical

I have an 01 i30 infiniti and tried replacing factory radio. I had wrong wire harness so replaced the original radio. But now when the headlights get turned on with the switch the dash lights turn off (speedometer, gas gauge etc. the radio, with the temp and air control everything on dash turn off) all the lights work juat fine when the headlights are turn off. Can anybody help or send me in the right direction maybe a website or anything.. I can't find much online about this specific car!? Please help!!! :) thank you

    When you say you had the "wrong harness" did you actually plug anything in using that wrong harness? Did you attempt to connect anything?
