Would you be able to provide the residual and MF for a 2017 MINI Cooper 2-door hardtop (base model) for ZIP 33912, for 10k and 12k miles/year (also, is there a difference in lease factors between manual and automatic transmissions)? Thank you!

    Nope.

AutoNation provides you with all the information needed if you are buying the car, then magically throws a lease payment in. Can't tie the numbers out, as some information is missing.

The number you need from the dealer is the "adjusted cap cost".

What state is this? Never mind, your ID kinda gives you away. CA taxes the monthly payment on a lease, so you can ignore the tax amount shown.

For 36/10, the lease numbers on the Cooper Convertible are .00146 and 62%

    Hi,

Do you have current MF and residuals for 2017 JCW 2 door hardtop and JCW convertibles?

36mo and 24mo for 7.55k/10k. Do they go any lower than 7.5k?

    Thanks!

    Same numbers for both models
    .00146 MF and 60% residual for 36/10
    72% residual for 24/10.

Don't think MINI offers 7.5K/yr, but if they do, add 1%

Hi. I'm interested in the numbers for the Mini Cooper 2 door hardtop with automatic transmission and Mini Cooper S 2 door hardtop with automatic transmission in south Florida for a 36 month lease with 15k miles per year.

Also, do you happen to know if those numbers would be different for a vehicle that is already on the lot vs. a vehicle that you 'customize' with a variety of options and then order for delivery?

    Thank you!

Thank you! I am actually looking at both the Mini 2-door hardtop and the Mini Countryman. I am aware they are VERY different --- I just can't decide if I really want a small coupe like the 2-door or not LOL I'll post my question about the Countryman's numbers in the appropriate forum. First, I only drive the MINI a few days a year - to and from the dealer when service is needed.

The hardtop, as I noted, was a non-S, so it was pretty slow. And, the ride was beyond firm. Could feel every pebble and asphalt strip on the road.

The Countryman is bigger and rides a bit better. Still pretty firm, but that's part of the MINI DNA. And, her Countryman is an S, so the turbo engine is a hoot to drive. Not a car I could live with every day, but for as often as I drive it, it's fun.

Are you cross shopping any other brands? I think you should test drive the MINI - I have a friend who has two, and his wife swears by them. But, they aren't for everyone.

You may also want to consider the Clubman. 4 doors, available AWD, and the ride is not as punishing.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I truly appreciate it. I am planning to test drive both the Mini 2-door hardtop and the Countryman today.

I've been considering a lot of different cars. My friends tell me I am ALL over the place :) My last two leases were sedans (the most recent being a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited). While I have had 0 problems with the Hyundai, I was looking to drive something different (and potentially smaller) for the next 3 years (that's why I have considered both a coupe and a small SUV). The Hyundai is over 73" wide and over 190" long --- I don't need that big of a car and I happen to find it too big for my needs.

I recently took the Audi A3 (a smaller sedan) and the Lexus NX200t (a small SUV) for test drives. The A3 drove well, but tends to get a bit pricey as you begin to add some tech to it. The NX200t was a VERY comfortable ride, but the driving experience was kind of blah!

I have about 1-1/2 months left on my current lease (my Hyundai lease is up at the end of July). I'm VERY open to trying something new and different - I even thought about giving the Mazda3 hatch a spin :)

Again - thank you SO very much for all your time, effort and information! It's so helpful to me (and I'm sure many others) in making these decisions.

Nothing wrong with being all over the map - you may want to check out the "Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous" thread. It's filled with folks who are always on the lookout for their next car. Heck, I've got 26 months left in my current lease and I'm already doing some test drives on what I might replace it with.

I'm sure the folks over there can offer up their opinions on what you should look for next.

Hi Michaell-I am shopping for a regular Mini Cooper (non-S) 2dr HT. In the Baltimore area. Inventory on 2017 with Nav is almost zero, so I have to order a 2018.
On a 36/10 can you help with info on what to expect Cap Cost wise (% off MSRP or Invoice plus...) and Res and MF?

This is the correct thread for all MINI lease questions.

However, we don't have any lease information for the 2018 MINIs at this time.

Hi Michael, Can you please post the numbers for 2017 Mini Countryman All4 (non S) for 36m/12k and 15k please? Does $4000 lease cash apply to non-S also?

    Thanks Michaell,
I have an offer form a dealer for Cooper S ALL4 clubman 36m/12k-

    MSRP - 35260.00

    Discounts - 1500(lease cash)+1500(instck)+650(dealer contrib) = 3650

    Doc Fee - 250.00
    License fee - 95.00
    Cap taxes - 1002
    Gross cap cost - 32535.00
    Residual 62%
    MF - .00186

    Monthly - 427.37 (incl. taxes)

I have couple of questions for you please -

    1. The Sales Manager was said she never gives out .00146 MF although it is the standard. She said that the bank doesn't make any money and they won't like it if she gives me .00146. I thought MF is set by the bank and it should be fixed.

    3. Initially when I asked the sales person for the best sale price, he quoted $1000 off MSRP. I didn't tell him that I was going to lease or buy then, he may have assumed that I was buying. Shouldn't they give me the offers/discounts on the Sale Price and not MSRP? I should be able to negotiate that, correct?

    4. One last question - Can you please post the numbers for the non-s Clubman ALL4 for 36 m/12k? They have one in their inventory and I may consider the non-s instead of the S.

As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

    1) Dealers can mark up the rate by .00040 for extra profit. The bank doesn't care, it's the dealers who make the extra money.
    2) What happened to 2)? ;)
    3) The selling price is negotiable. If you want $1000 off, and they are only giving you $650, that's part of the negotiation. As you've found, what the salesperson says is irrelevant.
    4) Same numbers as the "S", but only $1000 in-stock allowance

Add the $925 acquisition fee to your Gross CAP, if you want the calculations to work out.

Getting another $350 off and the base money factor would drop the payment to $395/mo.
($10 from the discount and $22 from the lower money factor).

Ask for what you want... of course, they have to be convinced you'll walk away, if you don't get it.
