For perspective, my 2016 RAM 1500 ED 4WD CC BigHorn pulled a lightweight (aluminum) trailer -- in which our Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT rode -- about 2,200 miles from NH to TX. Averaged 17.3 MPG.

Very comfy, even with a dog riding shotgun, two dogs in the rear passenger compartment (seats up, flat floor feature deployed -- nice!) and 7 chickens in the bed covered with a 'Ranch' brand fiberglas shell. The coil over suspension smooths the bumps very effectively; in most cases, when I stopped for fuel/rest/whatever, the water in the shallow bowls in the chickens' cages had hardly spilled.

In 15k miles of driving since new, the RAM's overall MPG is just a tick over 24, and total DEF added to date is 7.5 gallons, and gauge shows more than 1/2 tank remaining.

Sure, the Royal Lemon Titan XD will tow a bit more than my rig. But a real 3/4 ton truck will tow a LOT more than the Lemon, easily match the fuel "economy", and be faster to boot. Why would anybody would buy a Titan XD diesel? I suppose for the same reason some bought the Pontiac Aztek...
