Performance Tested - 2017 Honda Ridgeline Long-Term Road Test
The 2017 Honda Ridgeline bursts back onto the scene after an extended hiatus. We took it to our test track to see how it sizes up against other competitors in the midsize truck market.

According to our track sheet from our Long Term (2016) Honda Pilot, we had a total weight of 4,301 pounds with this break down:
Weight L/F (lbs): 1244
Weight L/R (lbs): 940
Weight R/F (lbs): 1193
Weight R/R (lbs): 924
Curb weight as tested (lbs): 4301
Weight distribution, front (%): 56.7
For the 2017 Honda Ridgeline we showed a total weight of 4,513 pounds and a break down like this:
Weight L/F (lbs): 1308
Weight L/R (lbs): 995
Weight R/F (lbs): 1304
Weight R/R (lbs): 906
Curb weight as tested (lbs): 4513
Weight distribution, front (%): 57.9
So, you're absolutely right--the Ridgeline is heavier. According to the Honda Press Site and a side by side comparison of suspensions, the two are closer to brothers than distant cousins. I'm sure it could be argued that handling is increased by more aggressive suspension tuning. You know, 'cause the Honda is supposed to compete with other mid-sized off-road trucks. I could probably jump into a long conversation with Dan Edmunds about the differences in these suspensions, but maybe your comment was more rhetorical? Tell me before I engage him though. He knows....a lot.... about suspensions. :-)
