My OD light started to flash drive awhile then turned it off and it started up again but came back on . The following week I thought about getting the transmission filter for my 2001 Mazda tribute es v6 it has over 225,000 miles on it . After taking the oil pan off we noticed there's no place for the filter so we just changed the gasket around the transmission pan. Putting it back together and about to go on a test drive it won't go into reverse. The reverse lights were on but it won't move but it would go forward. Checking under the hood the gear shift pin had came off. So before replacing the pin you could move the gear into reverse and it will roll back but as soon as you give it some gas it just stopped like it put itself in neutral. I got it scanned and it said P0705 which is the neutral safety switch so I got a new one from Mazda $75.00 . It's on there and the same thing is happening it won't go into reverse and I don't know what else it could be.
