I wonder if the Colorado Z71 would have had similar issues - I doubt it. The ZR2 would laugh at the washboards.

I don't know, unless the Z71 has shocks with some form of fluid reservoirs, I think it would've met the same fate as the rest of the trucks. I think the ZR2 - and the Tacoma TRD Pro - would have fared better since their shocks have those extra cooling abilities.

Remote reservoirs would probably act very very differently under these conditions. ZR2, TRD Pro, Raptor etc.

Again, what wheels and tires and how much weight. My Xterra has 265/75 tires on 16" rims. Lots of sidewall to mitigate some of the washboard. I'll bet all of these vehicles have 17" or larger rims and less sidewall. Less sidewall and greater wheel/tire weight has to stress the shocks more than an old school set up. Biggest problem with 15" rims is getting brakes that work given the insane overall weight of vehicles these days.

The TRD Off-Road Tacoma rolls on 16-inch wheels - plenty of sidewall. The same can't be said for the Titian, though. I think it has 18-inch wheels and shorter sidewalls - Its also an HD truck that has a standard tire pressure of 65 psi!
