So i called in today to make a service appointment at my local honda civic. this will be coming up on one year of me leasing the car. i initially thought i was only going to have to pay 50 for the oil change, but the service guy was recommending that i get two extra things. i know one of the things was a tire alignment but I'm not sure the second thing that he offered. Does anyone know what else he would recommend, and do i really need to get those two extra things in addition to the oil change...? i wonder if since I'm leasing it instead of owning it will impact if i should get it or not?

You only need to have done what your owner's manual calls for.

I never have a car aligned, unless I detect a problem or see abnormal tire wear.

On a lease, you only have to follow the manufacturer's recommendation. Your dealer has nothing to do with that.

Ok sorry I'm a little confused so let me get this straight. I'm leasing a 2016 Honda Civic and this is coming up on the one year since I started leasing it. At six months, I went in just to get the oil changed. Now at a year I need to get another oil change, but they are also recommending a tire alignment. I don't see anything wrong with my tires so I am going to go against their recommendation and just get an oil change. Is that not a good idea...? When people are leasing these hondas and when they get a service appointment do they usually just get oil changes and that's it?

I have never had any Honda I've owned aligned. If you see some uneven tire wear it's possible you need an alignment otherwise listen to our Moderator.
