Car Buying Advice-2017 Lexus RX 350

I am working on a lease for a 2017 RX350. The MSRP is $52943. The dealer is offering me discount of $5000 and rebate of $1800 to lower the selling price of the car. These are nationally known incentives that are actually found on the Edmunds site. Should I be trying to get the dealership to drop the MSRP closer to Invoice price ALONG with these national incentives?? Seems like they should

Hello @daraius1 A discount of $5,000 is below invoice price I believe. Please feel free to provide me a link to the vehicle you are interested in. I would be happy to obtain the invoice price using Edmunds True Market Value. Edmunds True Market Value or TMV pricing is a powerful tool that helps shoppers get a good deal on a new or used car. Based on actual sales data, TMV is a guide to what other people in your area paid for the same car. You can build, price and obtain TMV with the link below.

5K in dealer discounts plus the $1,800 in available rebates is a very solid deal. The dealer may have a little room left in this deal but I do not believe very much.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Thanks!

@Blake thanks for the fast response. The 5000 and the 1800 I believe are incentives from manufacturer and nationally known by savy customers like us. Shouldn't the dealership be able to come down from tge MSRP along with the national incentives?? That was what i was trying to find out. Thanks

Hello @daraius1 Can you provide me a VIN or link to a listing of the RX you are looking to purchase? I do see a few rebates available in my area that total 5K but I need to double check your area, as well as see what this exact RX sells for on average in your area.

You should be able to get a decent amount off the MSRP from the dealer and then use the incentives. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Hi...I have an offer of $545 per month plus 1500 out of pocket(incl first month payment) for a 53,892 MSRP Rx350(not F Sport). 36m/15k miles. PLease advise if this is a good deal. incl 6% tax(broward county,FL), service, wear and tear. Is this a fair deal?

Hi @Blake ! Can you list out current incentive of $5000 you have mentioned?

I only see $2000 lease cash.

Btw, i am in WA. If you can list out all incentive in my area, greatly appreciated.

Hello @swinglife, there are several different rebates available on the RX in WA, but they do not total 5K. The best rebate currently available on the RX is for $3,500 dollars. This is a customer cash offer. You can check out all rebates and incentives available on any car with the link below.

I see so for the lease, incentive is only lease cash for $2000 since $1500 is offered when purchased.
    Thank you @Blake !

Hello @swinglife If you use the incentives link (https://www.edmunds.com/car-incentives) and click on $ offers. You will then be able to see that there is a $3,500 dollar rebate that can be used for purchasing and leasing.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any issues.

    Thanks!
