Can Residuals be negotiated?

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if the residual is something that should be negotiated. For my vehicle, I'm seeing residuals of around 50% but I'm wary that the dealership might use something close to 45% to jack up my payments, in which case I'd want to negotiate that as well. Any past experiences on that? Thanks in advance!

As answered by Michaell in the other thread, "Residuals can't be altered by the dealer"

Exactly... residuals are set by the leasing bank and cannot be altered.
