2008 Dakota Front brake wear extreme

This truck I have is very hard on front brakes. Can't say with certainty, but this will have to be at least the 5th front brake pad change I've done on the front and it only has 107684 miles on it. The last brake pad and rotor change was at 95820 11/2016. At the time the brake calipers seem to be lose enough. Is there a known problem with maybe the brake booster not relieving pressure after taking foot off brake or some other known problem with this year Dakota? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

This is not normal...either you have sticking calipers or brake hose restriction .Are the wheels extremely hot after a short drive? Hot metal smell and large amount of brake dust on the wheels? How old is the truck?

If you read a Dodge Dakota forum and there are many, the calipers on these trucks often get stucked. Its the #1 complaint

I drove to work this morning which is 5 miles. I can lay my hands on the rotors. Not that hot.

Next time you go for brake pads replacement ask them to put those on: http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=877893&cc=1441766&jsn=496

When I see a report of excessive brake wear, the first question that comes to mind is about normal usage and driver habits so I would need to know what your most common trips are like. (I.E. In town? Stop and go?)

The next question requires actually looking at the vehicle and it is " If the front brakes are experiencing short life, are the brakes working in the rear?"

From there a road test that includes similar activity as to what the driver normally encounters and repeated checks of brake temperatures would be in order.
