I wasn't sure if you all received the numbers since the last post and was curious if you all received anything new. I've been asking around dealers around the VA area and was given some numbers from a dealer:


2018 Stinger GT2 AWD
MSRP: $52,500.00
Money Factor: .00181
Residual: 52% ($27,300)

Taxes, title, tags paid upfront.

Dealer said it would be about $660-670 per month or $599/mo with $2500 down.

Let me know if these lease numbers seem about right in VA (if it's been released to you all yet).

Hard to make sense on the Stinger yet, I have been quoted by numerous dealers a higher payment than yours for the 2.0 model awd, which is like $10k less msrp.

Yep, we got 'em.

36/12 numbers:

RWD - .00199 and 53%; $6500 lease cash
AWD - .00192 and 52%; $7200 lease cash

So higher lease cash but a pretty high money factor. At the end of the day, about $684 cheaper now than the lease I did in December on my GT2. Mostly impacted by the residual. Correcting my data above, my residual was 51% on a 36/12 lease. Also, my acquisition fee was $650 - which I think was likely marked up by the dealer.

I will say getting them to give me $19k on my 2015 SXL Optima with 29k on it (needed tires) was probably the best part of the transaction.

Also, is it realistic to expect any discounts since this model is new? Not sure if 6% would be a reach, but if value is to be had, I'm not averse to just walking out from a dealer that won't bargain

If Kia is giving $7200 in lease cash, then there should be plenty of room for the dealer to discount, as well.

even with this high lease cash, gt2 probably won't lease well, the money factor and residual are horrendous.

If Kia is giving $7200 in lease cash, then there should be plenty of room for the dealer to discount, as well.

In south Florida True Car is showing Invoice for sale price on all GT models. Invoice plus the lease cash is not a bad deal even with the high money factor.

Taxes = 8.375%
Title/Lic/Fees = 1,200

With nothing down, I'm getting a payment of about $698. The dealer is saying the payment will be $736. Before I even negotiate on their offered purchase price, I want to understand why our numbers are off.

What cap number are you using for your payment, and what is the dealer using? I'll bet that's where the difference is.

If you live in the city of Chicago, you'll pay both state and city taxes on the lease payment.
