Door lock not working

I have a 2006 Ford Escape. The driver's side door lock will lock with the key fab, but I have to use the key to unlock it. All of the other doors unlock with the key fab. The driver's door also won't unlock with passenger side automatic unlock button. I just replaced the lock assembly on the driver's door and it is doing the exact same thing. Any suggestions of what I may need to do?
